Put the cheese in the patty love and eat it all up
Now if you sang that title to put the lime in the coconut you are my new favorite reader. Though if you didn’t hear it before I bet you hear it now, eh?
Anyway. Moving on…
Just like the lyrics of the song suggest there’s a cure to the sadness, though in this case it might also be a cause to your belly ache. But what is it?
It is one of Minnesota’s greatest creations.
essentially a cheese burger with the cheese on the inside, not the outside, but juicy Lucy from Matt’s bar is so much more; its american cheese and german engineering (their phrase not mine) is simple, sweet, and always delicious.
Matt’s bar is just that, a neighborhood bar. Their menu is short. There are no substitutes and there are no plates. The beers come cold, but don’t ask for ice in your water, you won’t get any. The bar is filled with memorabilia, holiday decorations and the multitude of awards that this 12 booth bar supplies.
Matt’s is an experience. It is a place where the fires are crispy, the people friendly, and if you are not careful your big juicy burger just might burn your mouth.
After a long morning being a human on a stick we headed on over for this unique treat. Juli was cautious but we won her over, I bet you will love it too. So, if you ever find yourself in Minneapolis, wander on over to Matt’s and if you don’t love it, the next beers on me.
Until next time,
Keep eating the world,
and enjoy a little more of Matts.
